Welcome to the new Gamer Disclaimer forum! :-)

We have successfully moved from phpBB to vBulletin, a very stable forum system. There are two styles to choose from right now, the dark centura style and the default vBulletin style. You are free to choose whatever style you wish.

Notice to all users: You will have to re-upload your avatars or select a new one from the avatar gallery. Dimension limits have been raised to 80x80 pixels.

Please report any bugs to the moderators. Many more updates coming soon...

There is no gold/shop system in the new forums. There will be less spam and more meaningful conversations this way. I might consider adding gold in the near future though.

Anyway, I went to the Media forums, and currently the last topic which I posted in lists my user-name as 'Imported Yazzarh'. Not in the actual thread, but in the part which says the most recent post.

I'm not imported, so what's wrong????

I have to run a script that updates thread information. Problem is it goes through ALL posts (200,000 of them) which usually consumes all the database resources which makes it crash. Don't worry about it for now, it'll change eventually.

It's because you're a Super Mod. Those are soft-deleted threads, you can permanently delete them if you want. It's safer to soft delete, less mistakes.

To celebrate May 1st (International Workers' Day) the gold system was
suspended. Seriously, I know you all spa.. worked really hard to
collect it. It might be back in the future, and the Murloc RPG game might be
change to eliminate the need for forum shops. For now it is gone, to let us
have a better forum engine.

Un-med just worked the entire night to set this forum up. The whole down time was used to migrate as much of the old forum into the new one with the changes needed to make it stabe this time. I guess that in the new few days there are going to be some more changes as we'll find problems and ways to fixed them. This is a new place for everyone, just have patience.

It's not a particularly useful feature for the time being anyway. It was more for when there was a steady stream of users on the new MRPG... I'm sure something similar will probably be back for MRPG2 and future GD productions.

You're allowed to swear in non-offensive contexts, EG> "Damn, that subway sandwich is some fucking hot shit! I love it to fucking pieces!"

What you're not allowed to say is: "**** you Mother******* Islamic/Chrisitan/Aethiest/****** stupid ****** and your ****** of a ****** *****[.... You get the point....]

Normal Conversational swearing is fine, it's just cos it was aimed at a fellow user. And that isn't fine.

But no, cuss all you like, as long as it's non-directional cussing ;)

It'll take some time to get use to the new forum. Is the 60 second cooldown for reporting going to be changed soon though? That is really annoying

I am not a fan of any cool down in my opinion. Creates more annoyance when you are trying to report legitimate problems but you have to wait for the cool down.

Well, 60 seconds may or may not matter, really.So long as someone else doesn't have the cooldown or is almost done with it and notices the post, everything should work out, really.

I'm going to go with riku on this one 60 seconds ain't much anyways and if someone else has their cooldown at like 10 seconds and notices a spam post as soon as the ten seconds are up they could report it :D

Also, we're trying to make the gamerdisclaimer forums more about GD games than just MRPG... So that it doesn't become obsolete when we're done playing MRPG2.

un-med could you explain how to use the smilies somewhere in this forum?

It's pretty self explanatory. Reply to a post, the smilies appear on the right. Click "more" to view all smilies. You probably don't see them because you're using quick reply.

Anyway, here's a suggestions, you could always have a gold system, but gold can only be earned through jobs, and in order to get jobs you have to have a certain amount of posts, basically the old system minus the gold per post. And make the post counts higher, maybe around fifty-one hundred for the first job, this will stop a lot of the spammers because they'll just get banned by the time they get even close enough to the amount for jobs, and genuine posters will be able to get their first job as short as three days.. if they're, like, really dedicated.

No, there's no shop. Oh, and we figured out something (I think) on the chat yesterday. Unmed's gonna put the shop items in the game and you buy them with your own gold, and it'll be forumgoldprice/5. So a Deathslayer is 400 gold, worn dagger's 1 gold, etc, etc. Then again, I was kinda lost so I dunno if unmed was just trying to get ideas or something..

When you sign up, there should be after the 1st login, it will go to a page just with stickies. They will have to at least click them to go on and see the normal forum.

It is an inconvenience, although it would clear up a lot of that i don't read stickies kinda thing.

it'd be neat if the moment you activated your account you were taken to a page with a big fat (literally) link in red that was like "READ THIS". that link would take you to the rules page.
